How to Iron Ruffles
Ironing ruffles calls for Domestic CEO's expertise. Watch this video on how a pro irons ruffles.
Have you ever purchased a ruffled shirt or dress, felt super cute when you wore it the first time, but then super discouraged when you took it out of the dryer the first time because all the ruffles were a wrinkled mess? That was my experience recently with this pink shirt. I loved the shirt the first time I wore it, but after it came out of the dryer, it was a hot mess. Luckily, I have gotten a lot of practice ironing with one of my Moxie Girl clients and had already learned a trick to on how to iron ruffles.
The trick is to not try and iron each ruffle individually, but to flatten them with your hands first, then iron them all at once in one quick motion. I know that’s a little hard to understand just by the description, so I created a quick video to show you what I mean. Let me know if you have any questions on the technique, or if you have any other ideas for how to iron ruffles.
