During the 20 years I’ve been a parent, I’ve tried hundreds of childrens' products, ranging from the latest in disposable diapers to the coolest assortment of penguin ice cube trays you could possibly imagine.  While I could certainly share the pros and cons of diapering 8 children in both cloth and disposables, I have also discovered oodles of items that I would never try again, as well as some I just couldn’t live without.

Today, Mighty Mommy shares her top 10 picks for products that have made my life a little easier throughout two decades of parenting 8 kids. Hopefully, you'll give a few of them a try and let me know your thoughts.

Product #1: Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser

Family life is full of joy, laughter, love, tears, surprises—oh, and lots of messes!  I used to spend hours scouring and scrubbing hand prints, scuff marks, grease, and the ever breathtaking crayon wall mural off my walls and floors. But thanks to Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser Original removing these marks is now a breeze! Dirt easily comes off walls, baseboards, floors, switch plates, blinds, and any other hard surface. With water-activated micro scrubbers that reach into the surface grooves, the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Original lifts away built-up dirt, and cuts down my cleaning time in half.

Product #2: Mama’s Planner Pack

Staying organized with a family of 10 certainly has many challenges, especially when trying to keep 8 kids' schedules flowing smoothly.

I recently started using a system called Mama’s Planner Pack which can be downloaded to your computer.  I love it because not only is it a calendar, it also incorporates other organizational tools such as to-do lists, a financial planner, a home maintenance set, a cleaning set, a health and fitness set, and yes, even a supermom planning set.

Product #3: Chalkboard Paint

One of the ways I kept myself entertained and sane for the 15 years I was a stay-at-home mom was to decorate and redecorate and decorate some more.

During more than a decade of artfully spray painting and stenciling anything that didn’t move, I discovered a paint product that made my kids extremely happy: chalkboard paint.  It's easy to apply and my kids loved the readymade chalkboards I posted in their bedrooms. They would happily draw for hours while I cooked. Heaven!

Product #4: The Joy Mangano Huggable Hangers

With 8 kids, we never have enough closet space.  I tried many a closet-organizing system, but they were all either too expensive or too cumbersome to fit in our tight closets.

Thankfully, I discovered an amazing solution for our space problem--The Joy Mangano huggable hangers.  These nifty  ¼" thin closet hangers are strong enough to hold bulky clothes and delicate accessories. Their soft grip keeps your clothes on the hanger no matter the fabric type. The hangers have matching mini hooks that help to maximize vertical closet space. The spring action finger clips hold skirts and slacks in place.  These are the only hangers I use now. They also make a wonderful shower or housewarming gift.
