Many Grammar Girl listeners are also writers, so this week I wanted to share details and a clip from an exciting new podcast. It's called Launch. Here's some information about it from our friends over at Wondery:

Three out of five people dream of writing a book. Few follow through. What does it take to take that from dream to reality? Screenwriter John August (Go, Big Fish, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory) sought to find out as he tackled something he’d only ever dreamed of: writing a novel. From Wondery, this is a show about putting something out into the world. How will it turn out? You’ll know when we do.

I was excited when I heard about Launch because I'm a fan of John August's other podcast Scriptnotes. And it turns out the novel John talks about in Launch—Arlo Finch and the Valley of Fireis also being published by Macmillan, my partner behind the Quick and Dirty Tips network and all the Grammar Girl books.

You can listen to a sample of Launch anywhere you get Grammar Girl, and then search for it and subscribe. I hope you enjoy it!
