Q. Now that it's the baking season, I'm trying to find low-sugar alternatives for cookies and such. Can you direct me to a website or some recipes that I could use for Christmas baking?

A. As you may have gathered by now, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. I also make pretty good cookies. Unfortunately, the person who ends up eating most of the cookies I make...is ME.  Personally, I've decided to forgo the cookie baking altogether this year. I'm sure there will still be plenty of opportunities to enjoy cookies that other people make. Instead, I'm making savory treats like cheese straws, spiced nuts, and pickled vegetables. But I'm no Grinch! I've also posted some tips and recipes for healthier holiday cookies on the Nutrition Diva Facebook page .  (You don't have to have a Facebook account to see my post.)
