Mighty Mommy Belly Burn Project: The Before Picture

On May 10th Mighty Mommy will also have been following the Belly Burn Project for three weeks, so I will be anxious to share my results thus far and also talk about what’s working well and where I might still need some encouragement and guidance.  

The Before Photo

I’m also bravely sharing something else with all of you—my “before” photo which was taken on April 19th.  I’m doing this for a few reasons.  One, a picture is worth a thousand words, and definitely shows me that yes indeed I do have a good 30 pounds to lose in my belly and upper back and arm areas—oh, and the double chins!  

Two, I am completely committed to choosing a healthy lifestyle again, and with all of you following or joining me in a quest for a healthier way of living, I am now accountable to staying the course not only until I reach my goal but forever after.  

And finally, I am a visual person.  Just check out my Pinterest page. I love making lists and setting goals in writing so that I can physically have the pleasure of scratching the completed tasks off my lists.  With this “before” photo, I will be photo journaling my progress each month, and will be sharing those results with all of you as well.

It’s not just the weight loss that I’m looking forward to, it’s knowing that I’m consciously taking charge of my precious health, that I won’t be making any more excuses for not finding the time to eat right and exercise just because I’m a busy mom. And most importantly, I’ll be showing my kids that I can and will take care of myself because I deserve that and they deserve a healthy, energetic mom.
