Quick Tip: Chewing Gum Can Help You Lose Weight

Afternoon cravings sabotaging your weight loss efforts? Quell that "snack attack" by reaching for a stick of gum instead. A recent study found that chewing a piece of gum for as little as fifteen minutes may help you feel less hungry between meals and reduce cravings, especially for sweet treats.   As a bonus, chewing gum also appears to give you an intellectual edge.  Another study recently found that students who chewed gum during tests got better scores!  For best results, choose a sugarless gum.
