Many people have asked, “When you pronounce the name of a year, do you need the ‘and’?”
Either way is correct, but Britons tend to use the “and,” and Americans tend to omit it:
- * Two thousand ten (American)
- * Two thousand and ten (British)
The biggest controversy about the year right now is whether it should be called “twenty-ten” or “two thousand ten.” I did some research and came to a conclusion in my latest article.
