If you’ve been on the internet lately (and who hasn’t?), you’ve probably noticed a little trend called the ‘She Shed.’ While some say this is the women’s version of a man-cave, I’d argue that they are simply a brilliant use of an exterior space. Many of these She Sheds started out as a simple shed structure, available at most building supply stores. The owners then insulate them, hook them up to utilities (electricity, maybe even plumbing), and decorate the heck out of the small space. They become a backyard retreat, office, or numerous other uses.

Personally, I think they are super cute, and would LOVE to have a little place to retreat. I can see myself grabbing my coffee, and heading out to my shed each morning to do my writing. How could I not be super productive in something so cute and creative, right? Now, I just need a backyard with lots of trees and plants surrounding it.
