Quick Tip: Roast Your Green Beans
Green beans are inexpensive, nutritious, and easy to prepare; but let’s be honest, they can be a little blah. Instead of boiling or steaming them, try roasting them for a dish that’s so addictive and delicious, it gives French fries a run for the money. Trim the green beans, drizzle with a little olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then, spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast in a hot oven (425 degrees) until they start to shrivel slightly and have a few dark brown spots—about 25 minutes.
